This guide explains how the platform handles failed payments during course purchases or license transactions. When a payment fails, users and organizations experience restricted access, blocked licenses, and limited course participation. The system ensures data integrity while allowing payment retries and controlled access recovery.Handle Failed Payments#
If a payment attempt fails the transaction is marked as Payment Failed.
The course is not accessible until payment is successfully completed.
Any payment failure affects both individual users and organizations managing multiple licenses.
Failed payments immediately prevent course access.
No course content or live lectures are available to the user.
All features on the Fruition page are blocked, including Chat, Calendar, Q&A, and Review sections.
All licenses associated with a failed payment will be marked as Blocked.
Blocked licenses are assigned but not usable.
These licenses cannot be revoked or reassigned unless payment is successfully completed.
Locked for all access and updates
Course Content Locked for Members with a LicenseUsers with blocked licenses will see the course listed but cannot access course content.
This applies to all materials: videos, quizzes, downloadable files, etc.
Additionally, all interactive features on the Fruition page such as Chat, Calendar, Q&A, and Review—will be completely inaccessible.
No Access to Live LecturesLive sessions are entirely inaccessible while the license remains blocked due to failed payment.
Users cannot join, view, or interact with any scheduled live courses.
Retry Failed Payment#
Users or admins can Retry the failed payment at any time to restore full access.
Retrying allows the system to validate a new or existing payment method and reactivate the blocked licenses.
Click on the Profile avatar in the top-right corner to open the side menu, then click on the Payment icon.
Locate the transaction labeled Payment Failed.
Click the Retry Payment button to initiate a new payment attempt.
Update Payment Method When FailsIf the current method fails, users can choose to update their payment method before retrying.
Select a saved payment method or add a new one.
Complete the purchase by clicking Buy Now.
Click on the profile picture in the top-right corner.
Choose Payments from the Business section.
Find the failed transaction and click Retry.
Choose a new method or fix the current one.
License Status After Retry#
Once Payment is SuccessfulAll previously blocked licenses become Active.
The user is granted full access to both on-demand content and live lectures.
No course progress is lost if access was temporarily blocked.

Access to live and recorded sessions is restored
All features on the Fruition page Chat, Calendar, Q&A, and Review are re-enabled after successful payment
Important Rules#
If a user has already started the course before the payment fails, their license becomes Locked.
Locked licenses cannot be removed or reassigned.
Payment must still be completed to maintain uninterrupted access.
