Story

This guide covers creating, editing, sharing, deleting, and engaging with Stories. Users can upload content, apply effects, and set audience preferences before publishing. They can edit captions, stickers, and settings, share via links or messages, and delete stories with confirmation. Users can also engage by commenting to share feedback and join discussions.

Creating a Story

Open the Feed
Navigate to the Feed page. At the top of the Stories carousel, click the + New Story button. A pop-up will appear with three tabs: Story, Reel, and Highlight. Select the Story tab.

Upload and Customize Story Content

The pop-up is divided into two sections:

Upload Story Content

Audience Options: Choose between Private, Restricted, or Public.

Preference Selection Pop-up:

A chevron icon below the profile avatar opens a pop-up after the story is created, allowing users to select a personal or organizational account.

The pop-up has two buttons:

Confirm: Applies the selection.

Cancel: Keeps the previously selected account.

Editing the Story

Left Section (Preview): Displays the Story list, visible for 24 hours after posting.

Right Section (Editor):

Upload Media / Empty Story: Choose a media file or create an empty story.

Editing Options:

Trim: Adjust story duration.

Crop: Resize or change aspect ratio.

Filter & Finetune: Apply visual effects.

Annotate & Sticker: Add text and stickers.

Fill: Select a background if the media is an image.

Frame & Redact: Apply enhancements for images or empty stories.

Revert Icon: Undo changes.

Bottom Section:

Cancel: Discards changes.

Publish: Activated when media is uploaded.

Editing a Story

Option 1: From the Story List

Navigate to the Feed page At the top of the Stories carousel, click + New Story.

Select the Story tab from the popup menu. Go to the Left Section (Preview) to view your Story list.

Locate the story you want to edit and click the Edit Icon on its left side. The editor will open, allowing updates. Click Publish to save changes. A toast notification confirms the changes.

Option 2: From the Posted Story

Click on the posted story to open it. Tap the three dots at the top to open a menu. Select Edit. Make the necessary changes in the editor.

Click Publish to save changes. A toast notification confirms the update.

Access the Feed
Click on the posted story to open it. Click the Share icon inside the story. A pop-up appears with three options.

Select a Sharing Method

Chat Sharing: Share with people you have chatted with. Search for users by name in the search bar.

Copy Link: Click to copy the story URL and paste it anywhere.

Send to a Single Suggested User: Select a user, add an optional message, and click Send. A toast notification confirms successful sharing.

Send to Multiple Users:

Select multiple users to share via one-to-one chat. Add an optional message in the text box.

Click the Send icon. A toast notification confirms the action.

Commenting on a Story

Click on the posted story to open it. Click the Comment icon on the right side of the story.

Type your comment in the text box and click Send. Click the chevron on the profile avatar to open a pop-up (appears after the story is created).

Choose whether to comment using a personal or organizational account.

Click Confirm to apply the selection or Cancel to keep the current account setting.

Deleting a Story

Click on the posted story to open it. Locate the story you want to delete.

Click the three-dot menu at the top-right corner of the story. Select Delete from the options. A confirmation popup will appear. Click Delete to confirm and remove the story.
