Renewal, plan change, trial and workspaces
When the count restarts, what happens when you change plan mid-month or during the trial, and why personal and academy never add up.
Monthly renewal
Every meter restarts from zero when the new period begins, on the day shown at the top of the Usage page ("renews on …"). The 80% and 100% notices restart too. Storage is different: it does not reset, because it measures how much space the workspace takes; only the billed part beyond the limit restarts.
- Monthly: the period is the subscription month, from the day it started.
- Annual: the period is the monthly slice of the year, always from the same day.
- Free: the calendar month.
Plan change mid-period
The period's usage stays, the limit changes right away:
- from Starter to Pro with 2,000 AI credits used: before 2,000 of 2,000 (stopped), after 2,000 of 6,000;
- from Pro to Starter: usage stays and may already be beyond the new limit, so that meter stops until the renewal or a pack.
The renewal stays on the subscription day.
Free trial
During the trial the limits of the plan on trial apply and you can add packs (nothing is charged until the trial ends). "Avoid service interruptions" does not apply during the trial: at the limit the meter stops. The trial period ends with the trial.
Personal workspace and academy
Your personal workspace and each academy have separate meters: a use counts for one of them only and never moves to the other. The same Owner sees two different Usage pages, switching workspace from the switcher at the top left.
