Sender and reply-to

The name your academy's emails are sent with and the mailboxes replies go to, confirmed with a link.

Draft · 05/10/2026

The emails Aladia sends on behalf of your academy (invitations, lessons, payments…) go out like this:

  • From: Academy name <notification@aladia.io>. Never from a "no-reply" address: recipients can always reply.
  • Reply-to: a mailbox of your academy, for example office@yourschool.com. Any email provider works (Gmail, Outlook, Aruba…), and you don't need a custom domain.

You set it in Settings > Branding > Email. Owners and Admins can change it.

The sender name

By default it's the academy name. You can type another one, for example "Leonardo Academy Office" (up to 60 characters).

The main mailbox

  1. Type the mailbox and press Save and confirm.
  2. The mailbox gets an email with the Confirm the mailbox link, valid for 48 hours.
  3. Whoever reads that mailbox opens the link and presses Confirm the mailbox. No Aladia account is needed.

Until the mailbox is confirmed, replies go to the Owner's email, and the mailbox shows To confirm with Send again (up to 5 links a day).

The personal address of a teacher or another member of the academy can't be used: it has to be a mailbox of the academy, which stays when people change.

Mailboxes by area

Under Mailboxes by area (optional) you can give each kind of email its own mailbox:

AreaEmails
Teachingsuspended or moved lessons, recordings, substitutions, exams, course review, certificates
Administrationpayments, instalments, receipts and invoices, subscription cancellations
Accountsinvitations and access

Each mailbox is confirmed like the main one. An area without a confirmed mailbox uses the main one.

The academy name and reply-to apply to the emails in the table. The verification code and password reset get them when requested from the academy site, with the Accounts mailbox: the full list is in Your academy's emails.

The other account security emails (new device, email or password changed) and Aladia's notices about your plan go out from Aladia, without the academy's reply-to.

With a custom domain

With the Email track of Settings > Domain and email the sender becomes Academy name <notification@mail.yourschool.com>. The reply-to stays the one you set here.
