Report and block

Report offensive content, block people who bother you and, if you manage the workspace, review reports.

Aladia has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users: everyone who signs up accepts the Terms of Service, and reported content that breaks them is removed and the accounts are suspended. That's why, on the web and in the app, every post, comment, reel, story, profile and chat message has two actions: Report and Block.

Report content

  1. Open the … menu of the content:
    • posts and reels: top right;
    • comments: in the row under the comment, next to Reply;
    • another person's story: at the top, next to Close;
    • profiles: next to Follow;
    • chat messages: on the web from the message's More actions menu, in the app by long-pressing the message (Report is in the fixed bottom part).
  2. Choose Report.
  3. Pick a reason: Spam, Offensive or harassing, Nudity or sexual content, Violence or threats or Other. With Other you must explain what is wrong; otherwise details are optional.
  4. Tap Send report.

Reports are anonymous: the author doesn't know who reported them. The workspace administrators and the Aladia team receive the report and review it within 24 hours.

Block someone

From the same … menu choose Block followed by the person's name, and confirm. From then on, both ways:

  • you no longer see each other's posts, reels, comments and stories, not even in search or in follower and following lists;
  • the direct message disappears from the chat list and you can no longer message each other;
  • you can't comment on each other's content or follow each other; an existing follow is removed.

The blocked person isn't notified. In group channels you share you can both still write, because the channel belongs to neither of you: if the problem is there, report the message.

What you can't block

You can't block yourself or the workspace you're working in. You can block another academy from its profile.

Blocked users

The people you blocked are in Settings › Blocked users (Personal group), on the web and in the app, with the date of the block. Tap Unblock and confirm to unblock someone: they'll be able to see your public content, message you and follow you again. Follows removed by the block are not restored.

Reports: for workspace managers

Owners and Admins find the reports about their workspace's content in Settings › Reports (Workspace group, on the web). Every new report also sends an email with a link to this page.

  • At the top, filter by status: Open, Reviewing, Resolved, Dismissed or All.
  • Each row shows what was reported (post, comment, reel, story, profile or message), the reason, when, the beginning of the text, the reporter's note, the author and who reported it.
  • The arrow icon opens the content; from the … menu choose Mark as.

Store rules ask you to review every report within 24 hours:

  • if the content breaks the Terms, remove it (or suspend the account) and mark the report as Resolved;
  • if there's no violation, mark it as Dismissed.

The Aladia team sees the reports of every workspace and steps in when needed.
