Instant live rooms: who can join
A room's link is not enough to join. Who joins, with which role, and who sees attendance and recordings.

An instant room is a video call opened on the fly (from the calendar, a chat, a subject). Its link is stable and contains no secret: whoever opens it reaches the waiting room, but only the people who belong to the room can join. The platform checks the permission when you press Join now.
Who joins

If a person has more than one reason to join, the highest role wins.
What people who cannot join see
In the waiting room, on Join now, the message Only the people of this event can join this room. appears. From the server the answer is a 403 error with You are not allowed to access this room.
Attendance and recordings
- Who is in the room (the attendance line in the waiting room) is seen only by hosts and co-hosts. For everyone else the line is not there.
- A room's recordings are seen only by the people who belong to the room.
