Google Calendar

Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar (or the Integrations tab of the calendar settings) connects your Google account to the workspace you are in.

One connection per workspace

Your personal workspace and each academy are kept apart, Google Calendar included:

• a connection made in your personal workspace shows only there; one made in an academy shows only in that academy;
• only the calendars of that workspace go to Google: in your personal workspace your personal calendars, in an academy the calendars of the academy and of the courses you can access there;
• events imported from Google show only in the workspace you imported them for. The planner of an academy does not show the events of the Google account connected in your personal workspace;
• the iCal link (Other calendar apps) is different for each workspace too.

Reusing an account you already connected

If you already connected a Google account in another workspace, the new workspace offers Use name@gmail.com, already connected (with your address): one click and the account is connected here too, without going through Google again. Connect another account opens the Google consent for a different account. The same choice appears in the calendars menu, under Google.

The new connection starts with the defaults of the workspace:

• in an academy, the courses you teach or manage go to Google, and no Google calendar is imported until you choose one;
• in your personal workspace, your personal calendars go to Google and your main Google calendar is imported.

Disconnecting

Disconnect removes only the connection of this workspace: Aladia deletes from Google the "· Aladia" calendars and the events it wrote for this workspace and stops showing Google events here. Other workspaces where you connected the same account keep working; the permission given to Google is revoked only when you disconnect the last one.

If you leave an academy, or you are removed or suspended from it, your connection in that academy is disconnected automatically.

Showing personal commitments as Busy

In an academy you find the switch Show my personal commitments as Busy in followed by the name of the academy, off until you turn it on. When on, the commitments of the Google account connected in your personal workspace count as "Busy" in the academy: for availability, conflicts and ARIA. Only the times cross over, never titles, places or descriptions.
